SSPT Personnel Tracker:
The Securestar Personnel Tracker™ tracking system was designed at the request of the United States Department of Defense and it currently provides for a variety of DOD applications. SSPT is now available for other government agencies and private enterprise.
The system is ideal for Search and Rescue, Evidence Collection, Training, or anyone that needs to track multiple items or personnel simultaneously. The transmitters are small, lightweight, and may be attached to personnel, equipment, or material. |
System Features |
Portable: The entire system is packed into Pelican case(s) and a custom enclosure for the portable antenna assembly. The entire
system can be unpacked, set up, and functional in less than 30 minutes, ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.
Rechargeable: Each Transmission unit comes with rechargeable NiMh batteries. Bank chargers are provided for recharging of
the units, with an automatic charge sensing system that prevents overcharging. External Battery packs for extended use are also
available.
Multiple Transmitters are displayed simultaneously on the overlay of your choice; Maps of any variety, Satellite Images, Aerial
Images, or any other graphic overlay you desire.
Panic or Spot notification: Each transmitter features a button, which when pushed for 3 seconds, sends an alert to the receiver
notifying the users location, date, time, and altitude.
Replay capability: The activities of each user individually, or all users collectively, may be replayed at either a slow, real, or
enhanced speed showing where all units were for a specific time period.
Grid Overlay: A grid may be overlaid on the image, detailing areas for a quadrant search. Users can instantly know if a specific
area has been checked, or when it was checked. |
System Components |
| Transmitter with Internal, rechargeable NiMh batteries provide a run time of at least 12
hours. Each system is capable of tracking thousands of units simultaneously. Direct wire
(Vehicle mount) units are also available.
Receiver: The receiver is plugged into a ruggedized laptop (provided) featuring a touch
screen interface.
Antenna: Each system is provided with a collapsible 50 ft antenna that can be easily set
up anywhere. The entire assembly fits into a custom Ballistic Nylon case approximately
four feet long.
Long Range: The Transmission units will communicate with the Receiver at distances up
to 40 miles, depending on terrain. Utilizing the 50 ft antenna system, most users are
effectively receiving at 6 to 8 miles, minimum. Placing the Antenna and Receiver on a
high elevation increases the range. We also offer a small antenna for Helicopter use that
has a 20 to 40 mile range from 6500’ altitude.
Web Interface is also available, allowing others to view activity.
Satellite Communications Interface is available: When the Receiver is linked to our
Satellite Communications Platforms, Transmission Unit data can be broadcast from
anywhere in the world, to anywhere in the world.
